Birthday celebrations
Enable Birthdays in the dashboard, select an announcement channel and save. Set the UTC hour that matches your server midnight. Members run /birthday set with month, day and an optional year.
Members use /birthday privacy to turn birthday DMs on or off. A member who would rather not share their birthday simply does not save one, and /birthday remove deletes it. Manage Server is required to set or remove another member birthday.
Save your birthday to celebrate with the server: • /birthday set month day [year]: set your birthday with an optional birth year. • /birthday view: check your saved birthday. • /birthday remove: delete your stored birthday. • /birthday privacy: choose whether to receive birthday DMs.
The sweep checks hourly and after restart. February 29 is observed on February 28 in non-leap years. A birthday role expires after 24 hours and is removed by the next hourly sweep. Send test posts a preview without assigning a role or sending a DM.
Allow View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links in the announcement channel. Manage Roles is needed only for the birthday role, which must sit below Qreate. A non-mentionable ping role also needs Mention Everyone. Create Public Threads is not needed.
